Noah's Ark --- FINISHED

And I even finished it one day ahead of rotation :)

I changed a lot of stuff in this piece. In fact, it was the first time I looked at a design and decided that things needed to be changed for me to enjoy stitching it. I replaced the animals with the Hebrew alphabet. I changed the color scheme in the corners and on the bottom (the tacked herringbone). I took out lazy daisy stitches where I didn't want them.

And it's done.

Now it can go away until I have to frame it for someone for Christmas.

After one of the cats peed on Noah's Ark, I have to admit that I lost my stitching bug for a couple days and really just wanted to cry and scream. But the beast is almost done now - hoping to finish it up in the next day or two - and then I will bring you pics, I promise!!!

Noah's Ark Update

Sometimes I think Google really does have the answer to everything ;P Last week I asked you guys for suggestions on what to replace the animals with (thanks for the responses!), but I still couldn't decide on anything. Then I realized that there were 22 boxes (the 4 in the corners have other designs in them). So...I googled the number 22. And it just so happens that there are 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet, and there's a free cross stitch pattern for the Hebrew alphabet online. ROCK ON. So that's what going to replace the animals in the little boxes. I think the woman I'm making this for (a woman at church) will really enjoy this.

By the way, picking out one-over-one stitching might be worse than actually doing the one-over-one stitching. Thank the Good Lord for things like seam rippers. I never want to see little piggies ever again :P
